Error message »Not a valid Win32 application« during installation

In order to install eminec MYmap, you need the installation program (an EXE file). It creates the program folder for eminec MYmap, adds the icons to your start menu and performs any other preparations required to run the program on your system.

If MYmap cannot be installed, the most common cause is a damaged download of the installation program. Symptoms for this may look like this: error messages about missing files; error message "is not a valid Win32 application"; a command prompt window appears and quickly closes again. However, the installer does not appear.

Delete the installation program and redownload it from www.eminec.com.

If your Internet connection is slow (e. g. via ISDN or an analogous modem) or if it breaks down frequently due to technical problems, using a download manager might improve your downloading experience. It allows you to continue the transfer even if it has been interrupted, while preserving the data you have already received.

Please note that viruses on your computer might also cause problems with the installation program. To make sure there is no infection, check your system for viruses! (The installation program for eminec MYmap has already been checked by eminec and is virus-free, as a matter of course.)
