Users of the eminec website (“Customers”) can create user IDs. Each user ID includes a client number assigned by eminec, a password and a valid e-mail address (“Mandatory Information”). In addition to this, the name, address, phone, fax and mobile number of the customer can be recorded (“Voluntary Information”). Customers may view, update or delete voluntary information at any time. If the customer requests deletion of the required information, this leads to the deletion of the entire user ID with all the associated data by eminec.

A user ID is required to access, amongst other things, the following services within the eminec website: requesting free evaluation licenses; requesting or updating purchased licenses; requesting e-mail subscriptions.

In order to ensure and document normal operation of the server and to protect against abuse, eminec logs the following data whenever the eminec website is being accessed: address of the requested resource (URI); address of the accessing computer or network (IP address); date/time; address of the referring resource, if transmitted; browser type, if transmitted. Attribution of this data to a single person is generally not possible, except for some cases, such as when a person logs in using his or her user ID. However, no attribution is usually planned in this case.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “Cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
